In the mean time, here is my High Five for Friday post.

    2. Mom and I spent a sunny Sunday afternoon at a not to far away reservoir which was overlooked by a gorgeous old church.
    3. I baked some delicious All Bran muffins this week - recipe to follow shortly.
    4. Sitting eating breakfast at the airport while watching the planes come in.

Another week has come and gone and I am glad that it is Friday.  One of the very  big perks of my new job is that I have the flexibility to work from home when need be.....and today I need to. I have a horrible cold.  Anyway, High Five for Friday has become a regular for me and I love documenting my week like this.

    1. This public holiday the weather was fantastic and so we had a lovely family braai.
    2. I submitted assignment number three - a whole seven days early!
    3. The sore throat started on Tuesday, so I had a lovely bowl of cold strawberries and cream which helped my throat feel much better.
    4. I think I need new teaspoons - wonky or what!
    5. Each day I am believing that I can..........and therefore I am.

Hope you had a good week.

Wohoo, it's Friday and I have a four day weekend ahead of me.  Two days of uni work and two days of relaxation, sunshine (here's hoping) and fun!  How has your week been?

    1. A gorgeous view on the up to Manchester Monday morning. The countryside is beautiful and the four different rainbows that I saw on my way up made me smile from ear to ear.
    2. This week I made a delicious Salmon noodle stir fry.  I will be adding this recipe to my recipe book soon.
    3. Down at a new office this week and when I arrived at my car that evening I found one of these on my windscreen.  Arrrggghh!
    4. My new Cath Kidston journal makes my heart happy. I haven't yet started it but I will do shortly.
    5. My job is keeping me so busy that my weekends and holiday days are being taken up with catching up on my uni work.

Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Wow these days are just flying by!  End of week three on the new job and things are getting better. This week has been so busy and contained so much travelling - I know next week is set to be just as busy but I hope that it won't stay like this forever.

So here are some photos from my week:

    1. Saturday afternoon was so nice that I decided to go for a walk with my brother round the reservoir. The fresh air was gorgeous.
    2. A very cute old car that I sore at the grocery store and just loved it. It even had a little picnic basket at the back of it.  You never know when you may get the urge to stop for a quick picnic!
    3. Driving home from work on Monday, the sun was out and the sky was blue.
    4. Tuesday evening I had a go at making Hummus.  I had never made it before and while it was easy to follow it had way too much garlic in.  Its still sitting in my fridge smelling it up.
    5. This is the hotel that I stayed in for work. It has a bit of a weird feel inside but it is a beautiful building which has gorgeous surroundings.

    1. I spent some time this week creating in my gratitude journal.  This journal was one of the best projects that I ever started. I love being able to look back on things and remind myself how blessed I am.
    2. Last weekend my mom made Bobotie for dinner - a traditional South African - which was delicious! Reminded us all of home.
    3. Sunday the sun came out for a few hours so I decided to go for a walk to post a letter to my gran.
    4. This little house is a few blocks away from my flat and I totally love it!  Every time I pass it I say a little prayer that one day it will be mine.
    5. These verses reminded me to stay strong in the Lord and to rely on him and not myself.

Hope you have had a great week as well!

This week has been a fantastic week - one of the best ones so far this year!  I have been off work this week on holiday and have been able to do so many things, including getting some rest and much needed peace.

    1. I spent some time reading Joyce's magazine and really loved her articles on Discipline and how we should embrace it. How it is our friend and not our enemy in life.
    2. No early mornings meant that I could take the time to cook yummy, healthy  breakfasts.
    3. This week I bought a new car and in preparation for the part exchange took my car through the wishy- washy
    4. Towards the end of last year I won a bunch of vouchers at work and with a trip to town planned, I had every intention of treating myself.  And for those of you who are unsure about Rituals, their products are just gorgeous and well worth the price tags.
    5. Easter tulips from my mom and dad for Easter - no chocolate eggs for me.

I hope your week has been as good as mine.

    1. This past has been a very cold week. It's felt more like winter than spring and it snowed so much that we were able to build this huge snowman who ended up being taller than myself and I am 5'9.
    2. As this week is officially my last week at my current role - I got a few pressies from friends wishing me all the best.
    3. My friend Laura made me this delicious lemon and blueberry cupcake this week.
    4. Homemade veg soup and some bread.
    5. My leaving gifts from the department - lovely nail polish and a pamper set.

Happy Good Friday to everyone. I hope that you will have a fantastic Easter weekend.

I'm a little late with this post this week but I am sure that that is fine.

    1. Enjoying Everyday Life magazine is fabulous. One of my most favourite things to do in the mornings is before I start my day, I like to make a cup of tea and sit down for ten minutes to read, to get some inspiration.
    2. This week my mom bought me some beautiful flowers. A few days later and they are all open and looking beautiful.
    3. Due to a 50% sale, I was able to get all of these items for a real bargain.  I love The Body Shop.
    4. I have been so exhausted this week. Several early nights for me.
    5. Friday night we went out for bowling and dinner with the team - had a great time.

Fridays are one of my most favorite days....and today this is especially true as I only had to work half the day.  So whats been doing on this week, lets see.

    1. The weather this week has been strange.  Is the middle of March and instead of seeing Daffodils starting to grow we have had snow fall four out of the six days.  Despite this topsy-turvy weather, it has meant that we have had some gorgeous sun sets.
    2. Friday afternoon I headed into town and came across an Italian food market.
    3. This had me in stitches.......its my dad trying to do "hip texting".  He hates texting and I normally have to fight with him to reply to my messages, so when this arrived in my inbox, I had to smile. For those of you who are not as "up to date" with the lingo, P c m i l u translates to please call me, I love you!
    4. Nothing says afternoon treat as much as a Cinnabon
    5. I love this saying , the colors really make it pop.

For those of you who have heard of Project Life, you will know that it has been around for a few years now. Each year I consider taking part in it, but deep down I know that due to my studies for my degree and working full time, I probably won't be in a position to actually see it through.  And so, I have yet to take part in Project Life.

Yesterday I was surfing the web and found myself on Moorea's blog.  I found that she has started a weekly challenge and when I spent a bit of time reading about it, I knew that this was something I could do all year.
I dug out an old journal which I have had for ages, opened up to the first blank page and began to create my headers. I have eight weeks to catch up on and so far have covered four.  You know what else I have loved about this project so far?  It's another way to document what is going on in my life without me having to put aside loads of spare time.  If you have a spare journal lying around or just fancy printing off the pages directly from Moorea's blog then please join in and leave a comment below.

Week One's list is all about the words which touch your soul. I love this idea. Those words which mean something personal. Just random words which make you feel happy, safe, protected, joyful or any other wonderful emotion.  Putting these words on paper gave me the opportunity to reflect on who I am and where my life is at the moment.  I love that I can come back to these in a weeks time, or in six months and gain an insight into my life at the moment.

Week Two's prompt was all about my greatest comforts.  Now I need to be honest here and say that I found this one pretty tough. Don't get me wrong, I managed to get four or five down with no problems, but then I hit a bit of a wall. I wasn't sure what other things brought me comfort. I realized that this is an area that I need to do some work on. While thinking about these, I realized that the battle I was facing with them was not really a surprise with all the stress I have been experiencing at work recently. Here are some things that I currently do and some ideas which I am going to start turning towards when finding myself in need of a little comfort.

Week Three's list was all about being proud of the things that you have achieved, done or even simply being proud of who you are. There are no rules; you just interpret the prompt as you wish.

Week Four is all about your current and future goals and dreams.  Again, surprisingly I found myself battling towards the end of the page. I have some big goals and dreams, but I haven't really got many smaller goals. Goals and Dreams are so important for life - you have to have some!

So, how has your week been?  I am so looking forward to this weekend....plus I have Monday off work so I have an extra long weekend.

I love taking part in Lauren's weekly photo posts.  High Five for Friday has reminded me to take photos during my week, to be mindful of the ordinary things going on in my life. Its a great way to share what has been going on as well as documenting my every day life.  If you haven't yet joined in feel free to follow the link back to Lauren's blog and start having fun.

    So, whats happened this week.......

    1. It looks like I may be buying my flat soon and in preparation for it I wanted to check my credit report. I am very proud of the progress that I have made over the past five years.
    2. This week I had a very important meeting and in order to look the part I made sure I had my best work wear on and my nails were painted....until I climbed in the car to head over to the office and noticed that the polish was completely off one finger. How did that happen?
    3. Smoked Salmon and cream cheese omelet - yum!
    4. I found this pretty inspiration page on pintrest - lovely.
    5. Saturday I went out for a 6 mile walk with my friend Julie - boy, did we walk and walk and walk!

This week has been a very interesting week. There is so much going on behind the scenes that I can not wait to see how it all unfolds. There is no doubt that there is going to be loads of change, opportunities galore and much to learn. I am praying that it turns out exactly how it should.

Anyway, here is a snapshot from my week.

    1. Who can resist I love you chocolate!
    2. A delicious new fruit tea that makes me happy on in the inside and outside.

    4. Sunday afternoon I curled up on the sofa and spent a few hours watching Puss in Boots. Loved it!
    5. This week I have been completely myself, warts and all if you like.  While there are certainly things that I   would love to improve on, there is a lot about myself that I like.
I would love to hear how your week has been, feel free to leave comment.

This week has been a really tough one, although describing it as tough feels somewhat like an understatement if I'm honest. There has been many times when I have felt like things were too heavy even to pray. I didn't have the words. I didn't have the strength.  I didn't feel able. But it's Friday and I am going to look back on this week and see what positives where in it.

    1. Mom and I had a girls even - face mask, manicure and a facial.
    2. This gorgeous couch was in the window of a local charity shop - just gorgeous!
    3. My first ever Lush bath bomb - well worth the £3.20 I spent on it.
    4. A beautiful piece of art with a great quote.
    5. A reminder that God is aware of my struggles - even if they are plentiful.

How was your week? Better than mine I hope.
