  • May's One Little Word prompts where all about "I am" statements.  This is the second year that I have done this prompt and I enjoyed it just as much this year as I did the last.

Here are my I am Statements for 2015 in no particular order:

I am open to growth. Listening and considering. Exploring. Willing.
I am determined to lean in to God and His plan for me.
I am refusing to give up on my journey to health.
I am stepping out in faith and into sisterhood. My action. God's plan.
I am taking the time to really celebrate life.
I am choosing to trust God without borders.
I am learning what it means to staying the path.
I am welcoming a life lived from the inside out. A generous life.
I am being found in His words, in His shadows and in His footsteps. Endlessly found!

I love my I am statements - they have all got such special meaning for me.  The one thing that I am not totally loving is the finished look of the cards. They didn't turn out how I had imagined them to and I think its mostly down to the mist. I am just not loving the mist in general.  So I may decide to redo them but I may also just leave them as is.

Summer is officially just around the corner and i can not wait!  When I sat down to look at what goals I wanted to set for June I considered skipping individual monthly goal setting during summer and instead just have Summer goals but I decided against it. Monthly goals keep me accountable over a more focused period of time and leaves me with the opportunities to reassess them should things change.

May was the first month that I used the Tending List from Lara Casey's Power Sheets and I really love the daily focus that it gave me as well as the way it allowed me to focus on a number of different goals that I probably wouldn't have focused on had I just picked my normal monthly five to eight. So having said all that here are how my May goals went.

    Monthly

Declutter my shed | I did not get around to this one at all....ops.
Brainstorm a strengths finder action plan | This one I can say that I completed - although not entirely how I had imagined I would at the time I set the goal.
Finish off the garden | Woohoo!  I have finally finished this one off and am so pleased with how it turned out.
Set a monthly budget | Budget set.
Prayerfully start dating | This one is sort of a biggy for me right now.  Yes I have prayerfully started talking to guys but actually going out on a date not so much. One step at a time though right ladies!
No scrapbooking supplies to be purchased | Oh my word! This one was a toughie.  I was doing such a great job until Saturday when I went to Hobbycraft and they had a whole of new stash in and I caved.
Finish reading one book | Done. I finally finished John Maxwell's book called A Road Map To Success.

    Weekly

Create a weekly food menu | I completed this two out of the four weeks so am giving myself 50%.
Two TV free evenings | I really loved having this this goal - I looked forward to it every week.
Connect with friends or family | In all honesty, I feel like I half cheated on this one. Yes I managed to tick the box each week but technically it was mostly my family that I connected with which I do anyway and so it wasn't much of a difference from every other month.
Create something | Another goal I loved completing weekly.
Listen to a new podcast | I think I am having a bit of an obsession with podcasts at the moment as I am listening to a new one every two days or so.

    Daily

Intentional, clean eating | Man I totally failed at this one. Like probably 90 or even 95 percent of the month.
Spend time with God | This was definitely the daily goal that I achieved most often and I am so grateful for the difference it has made to me.
Physical exercise |  I achieved this an average of about two days a week. Not brilliant but not a total fail.
Water in the morning | Another fail - big time!
Gratitude for myself | At first this goal was one that I had to be really intentional about but as the days passed it quickly be second nature....and I love how I have this simple act a part of my daily life.

As you have seen there have been some great results and some seriously rubbish one but that is partly the point of setting goals - to make improvements from where you are to where you want to be.  Now onto my goals for June.

    Monthly

Do one thing outside of my comfort zone
    One social media free weekend
    Read two books
    Go to the beach
Make a plan to catch up with KP
Define the purpose of my blog
Decide on which church to attend and commit.

    Weekly

Spring clean one area in the house
    TV free Tuesdays
Listen and document the notes for one new podcast
    Create something
    Touch base with friends

    Daily

    30 minutes exercise
    Pray
    Secret one
    Lights off at 10:30 pm
    Stretch

What goals do you have planned for June or even the summer?
