I am not entirely sure were I read this phrase or how it has come about, but it has been floating around my spirit for a few days now. And isn't God funny how He brings things into your life when they feel completely the opposite to your current circumstances? My life is tough at the moment and if we were sitting in a Starbucks, enjoying a Skinny Mocha Frappaccino with whipped cream, I would be sharing with how I am really battling with things right now. Work is stupidly stressful and doesn't look to be easing up any time before the end of the year. I have also agreed to manage a new team which I am feeling very apprehensive about right now.
Finances are tough and at this rate, it will take me another 6 or 7 years to save up enough money for a deposit for my own place. I am also desperately lonely and slowly losing the hope of finding Mr Right. If I didn't have my faith, I know I wouldn't be where I am today.
This phrase that has been sitting with me, giving me something to ponder, has helped me realise that even while I am facing all of this tough times, life is beautiful. There are so many things around us, things that we take for granted or don't even consider but that truly do show the beauty in this life.
These last few days, I guess I have been making a conscious effort to find the beauty in my life. To remember that the small things in life are just as important as the big and a bunch of fresh flowers sitting in my lounge is just as beautiful as anything else. To help me remember this, I decided it warranted it's very own page in my Scrapbook*Life*Journal.
