An attitude of gratitude
Wednesday, August 31, 2011For the life of me I can't remember who used to say "An attitude of gratitude", but i know that someone in my childhood used to say it on a regular basis and to this day, when things get tough, this saying pops into my head. I have found that a definite way to turn a bad day into a better day, is to take 5 minutes and think about those things in your life that you can be grateful for.
Let's take a minute here as i could definitely do with making one of these today!
- That in less than two weeks I will be going on a girls holiday with my mom
- That I will soon be turning 30 and have made it this far in life
- That I have job that not only challenges me but that is close to home
- Good books - I am reading a lot of those at the moment
- That my family are no longer half way across the country and that I know have up close and personal support from them
- For my car which never gives me problems and always gets me where I need to be
- For my Heavenly Father who loves me in spite of what I do or who I am
- Music
- For the ability to be able to afford to live on my own
- My deep desire to keep trying, to keep striving for the best
