I am not much of a fan of the Royal family. Maybe its because I'm originally South African, although some people say that after living in the UK for almost 10 years there really should be a little more patriotic love in my heart!

Anyways, with the run up to this special day i haven't been all that involved in the plans and the news reports and the excitement. If i am being totally honest, i was more looking forward to the extra day off work than anything else. 

But then i woke up this morning, turned the television on and started to see some of the procession.

I decided to keep it on in the background as i went along my morning.

  

I knew that most people would either be at home or at street party somewhere, so i took the opportunity to do some shopping. The malls where totally dead and i LOVED it!  No pushing, no shoving and they had tv's on all over so i could still watch if i wanted to.

The thing that i was most looking forward to was seeing the wedding dress.  There has been so much hype about it over the past few weeks and i was beginning to dream up all sorts of designs.  But i must say, her dress was indeed beautiful!

For all my non-wedding excitement, i must admit that watching the bits that i did and seeing the gorgeous photos which are already out, it really does spark a little flicker of hope that dreams really can come true.
