I have been struggling with my weight for a very long time now. I keep trying to make changes and then things happen and I go right back to my bad eating habits So when I made yet another start on this weight loss journey four weeks ago, I decided to keep it to myself until I felt like I had found my groove.....and found my groove I have.
Here i am, four weeks later, and I have lost 7.5 lbs so far. My eating has been good and I haven't had one binge episode during that four week period. So far I am feeling focused and in the zone but I also know that it could take just one thing to make me feel out of control.... and that knowledge is keeping me plugged into my relationship with God. I know that when that time comes, the only thing that will get me through will be to go to Him instead of going to the food.
To keep me on track and focused, I wanted to state my intentions as follows:
My goal? My goal is to change my life, to become healthy in the fullest sense of the word. I want to change from some one who doesn't value herself as she should to someone who practises self love every single day.
And how am I planning on doing this? By undertaking a mixture of the following:
- Joining Slimming world online - This is the only program that I have found that fits with me and my lifestyle. I have a very sweet tooth, but I have found that Slimming world allows me to have a treat but not to overindulge. It will help me make good choices and keep my treats in check.
- Getting some form of exercise at least three times a week - At the moment, I do very little exercise....like maybe once a week. It's not good enough and I know it. My body was made to move and while I know that I should do it, I have realised that I am going to exercise because I can. I want to be grateful for my body that is capable of movement.
- Being accountable - Being accountable is important and I plan to use that accountability to head me towards my goals. So once a month I will be checking in here, posting my thoughts on how the month went as well as my progress photos.
So here's the plan, and we will see what happens next.
