  • This month has indeed been the awesome month that I had thought it would be. I haven't had much time to update things on here but I have had a wonderfully fun filled month.  Here are some of the things that have been going on lately...

♥ In case you have missed it, it was my birthday this month. I had such a great birthday and I got fantastic gifts. I felt so blessed and so special - it was great. I have so many photos that I think its going to be best to do a separate post on how the day went and all the lovely things I got.

♥ The Race for Life Cancer Research Charity Run finally took place this month. It was scheduled to take place in June, but due to all the rain we have had this summer, it was postponed on three occasions.  But, with summer pretty much over, the race was set and we had a lovely morning taking part.

♥  I am now the proud owner of a Kindle and a gorgeous "Tutti Fruitti" cover. I ♥ it!

♥ I met up with my lovely friend Jane for dinner and a chat. I met her a few months ago when I went on holiday to Wales and as she only lives about an hour from me and comes to my city to work twice a week, we decided it would be the perfect opportunity to get together. You know what I love most about her? Its her happy, loving, bubbly personality.  She wants to hear what is going on in my life, she listens to what I am saying and she is genuinely interested in me. That is a rare gem that needs to be treasured....and treasure it I do!  We also decided to share a very nice desert after dinner - who could resist this!

♥ Much of this month has been taken up with me working on my Biological Psychology final assignment. It was a real whopper and it took me hours upon hours to complete. But, despite that, I stuck with it, worked really hard and eventually sent it off just last Saturday.

♥ I also tried a whole bunch of new recipes this month. Most of them were a huge hit, while only one or two were a bit of a flop.  I love cooking and am definitely going to make this more of a priority in the months ahead.

As I said, September has been an awesome month!

I almost completely forgot that i had started this monthly review feature and that we are already at the end of another month!! Good job i was paying attention to my Labels earlier...

    So, what's happened in February......

    * I spent some reflecting in who i am at this moment in time.

    * I won runner up prize for our department which meant i got some Love2Shop Vouchers.

    * I moved my bed and found my walls were covered in mildew - YUK, YUK, YUK.  I spent the afternoon bleaching and washing down the walls and promptly went out and bought myself a de-humidifier.  It honestly surprised me just how much moisture i have in my flat - no wonder i had stuff growing.

    * I bared all with my 6 confessions post - OK, a little dramatic.

    * I went to watch Black Swan and The Kings Speech at the movies.

    * I took a gorgeous photo for Valentines day

    * We had our first tutorial for ED209.

    * I was up at 4 am completing a project i have been wanting to do for ages now

    * Completed 3 visits to the dentist to correct a root canal that wasn't done properly at the time - looks like it has been a success.

    * Today marks the start of the She Art Project.  My first on-line course.

    * I said it out loud and made my first own Mentor.

    * Had coffee dates with two friends, Julie and Tanya.

    * I spent quality time with mom at Woodlands Garden Centre and Bradgate Park.

    * I completed No 8 on my Life List.
    * I had a very good interview....but wasn't offered the position.

    * I purchased several exercise DVD's - so i had better start to use them!

    * I started a healthy eating plan - with the intention of eating less and moving more. Learning how to eat healthy foods and healthy portions has become more and more important to me this month.  No quick fixes - i just want the real deal!

While February has been a short month, it has definitely been eventful.  Good Bye February and Hello March.

Favourite picture of the month most definitely has to be this one.

Wow, who would have thought that this first month of 2011 would fly by so quickly.  This year i am going to try to do a monthly review. This should very nicely tie in with my Document 2011.  So...lets start!

    * Daily photos were taken for my 365 Photo Project including these and these.

    * Mom and I spent the day in London with Auntie Anne before her long flight back to South Africa.  We covered miles by foot and by tube. As many sights were seen including Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.

    * We had plenty of snow!

    * I decided that i was going to go ahead and Document 2011.  Gorgeous albums have been purchased along with very funky, never before used, page protectors.

    * There were plenty of shopping trips to be had.

    * A little bit of reflection and honesty.

    * We celebrated Aliyah Babe's 29th Birthday in STYLE!

    * I had my hair trimmed.

    * I finished one Open University Course and started the next one.

All in all, i think January has been a very good month. Lots has happened and even more plans have been made for the year ahead.

Favourite picture of the month most definitely has to be here
