52 Portraits Project Week Two Prompt | Set Your Intentions
This photo is my take on the prompt. This is me, ready to take on the challenge of looking at the pieces of my life from different perspectives....ready to learn new skills, try new things and find the beauty in myself, my day and my life.

The things that I did in my 2016 album that I will continue to do in 2017 include using the Currently Edition 12x12 album and Becky Higgins design A page protectors (for the most part). I plan to continue completing a week per page with occasional inserts as the year progresses, as well as using Ali Edwards Story Kits within Project Life.  I printed all my photos at home and loved the flexibility that gave me so I will continue doing that, using my HP Envy 4523 and HP's InstaInk program which I love! In 2016 I only subscribed to Ali Edwards Story Kits and I plan to continue with that while using the stash that I already have as and when I need to.

I also decided that i wanted to shake things up a little and so decided that this year I wanted all my photos to be printed with a white border. I just love how they looked in other peoples albums.  I also wanted my title card to be exactly the same each week - I like the consistency that it brings to the album.  I knew that I wanted to use my typewriter more in 2017 and I wanted the base of my album to be white with splashes of colour.  It sounds very fresh which makes my heart so happy.

Last year I took Ali Edwards Storytelling with Project Life class and plan to spend a few weeks revisiting the class over the rest of January. I believe Ali will be rerunning the class early part of this year so if you are interested keep an eye on her site.

As part of my One Little Word journey this year I thought it would be interesting and fun to capture the pieces of my WHOLE through 52 portraits.  I knew that I wanted to go deeper than just 52 selfies so I did a bit of research to see what photography/self love classes I could find online.  I ended on two that I am going to use.

The first is a free weekly photography challenge from Beth Adilly. This is focused more the photography and photo taking aspect which I thought would be a good way for me to improve those skills. The second is a weekly class focusing on self reflection using photography by Vanessa  and costs $35 for the year.

Beth Adilly Week One Prompt | Document an ordinary moment from a different perspective 
This photo is my take on the prompt.  My bedroom is a good size by UK house standards but there is not much room for anything more than a cupboard, double bed, night stand and chest of draws.  As such, whenever i normally take a photo of my room it is always from the doorway looking in.  For this prompt I decided to take the photo from a higher point of view and looking from the window into the room.

It was really fun to do the prompt and I honestly think I am going to enjoy the challenge this year.  As I progress with the years portraits, i plan to print them off as 3x4's and add them to my One Little Word album.
