  •  The final week of my December Daily Album ~ week 4 and a wrap up.  If you missed the previous weeks you can see week 1, week 2 and week 3 on the links.

Day 20 I treated my mom, dad and brother to a meal out at Spur. Now Spur is a South African restaurant which we used to go to all the time growing up, so when I saw that the place had opened here in the my local town in the UK i just new we had to all go.

Day 21 was about the books that I have enjoyed reading this month. Studying for my degree doesn't give me much time for fictional reading so when I get the opportunity to do so I jump at it.

Day 22 is all about the mince pie...need I say anything more. Day 23 I went for a deluxe manicure and loved every minute of it.

Day 24 is all about Movie night.  I haven't had much chance to watch  many movies this year so this was a real treat for me.  And finally a few pages of Christmas day and the family.

Unfortunately the one thing we didn't get on Christmas day was a family photo so I dug out an old one of us all and used that. I also created a pouch at the back of my journal to keep my special Christmas cards from 2013.

This is the first year that I took part in the December Daily album and I am so pleased with how it has turned out. I am so glad that i was able to document Christmas in my first home and which also included Smidge's first Christmas. Lots of firsts this December in deed.

Here's a catch up on my December Daily Album. I have said this before and will probably say this again in week 4 but I really do love my album. If you would like to take a look at week 1 and 2 you can see them here and here.

Day 13 is about the traveling that I have done this month and the lights that I have seen across the country while doing this.  Day 14 is a letter that I wrote to Santa giving him my wish list of course.

Day 15 I wanted to share the wrapping paper that I used this year. It was lovely paper but was terrible at actually sticking down.... many a rolls of sellotape where used to ensure the gifts remained a surprise!

Day 16 was a day of gratitude for me which I wanted to share.

Day 17 shows me spending some time working on my journal while day 18 shows my house. This is the first year that I have spent Christmas in my new home and it was a lovely time.

Day 19 was my office's Christmas party which we had up in Manchester. It was a lovely evening but I didn't manage to get any actual people photos of the evening.

Thanks for stopping by, week 4 should be out shortly.

December was such a busy that i wasn't able to keep up to date with my December Daily Album, however I am pleased to report that it is now completed and i will be sharing weeks 2-4 over the next few weeks. If you would like to take a look at week 1 you can see that here.

Day 6 is all about what I love about Christmas while day 7 shows my gorgeous Christmas tree.

Day 8 are about the lights in my town and local mall.

Day 9 is all about Smidges first Christmas and his love/hate relationship with the Christmas tree and its ornaments.

Day 10 shares some stories about how and where I got some of my ornaments on my tree. They have come from all over the world and I love each one of them.

Day 11 is all about the effort that I have made these past few weeks to ensure that i get some time to relax. Candles, a bubble bath and reading a book in bed are all things that I have enjoyed doing recently.

Weeks 3 and 4 will be up shortly so please have a look.

Happy Sunday!  I wanted to share the progress that I have made on my December Daily album so far with you all.  I'm currently a week behind so only have week 1 to show you but that is OK, I have an entire week to work on week 2.

I haven't done anything scrapbook related for a very long time so one of the things that I have had to get a grip on again is printing at home - especially when using such non-standard sizes. Some of these photos took a few attempts but I am pleased to say that I think I have found my groove with it. Most of my photos have either been 3 x 4 or 4 x 6 and while I haven't done any yet I am planning on doing a few larger sizes.

Day 1 was all about the advent calendar....for both myself and Smidge.  I loved seeing the story written across the two squares.

Day 2 was all about the gorgeous sunsets that we have in December.

Day 3 came about when I happened upon this unique little flower while walking from the office back to my car. I'm not sure what it is about this flower that makes me think of Christmas but it does, so I whipped out my Iphone and snapped away.

Day 4 was all about the Big Church Night In. An evening of great vocal music and wonderful folk sounds.  This day spanned over three pages but it was worth it.

Day 5 is one of my favourite days so far as its all about this childhood memory that I have of spray painting pine cones at my uncles farm to put under the Christmas tree. I haven't had a Christmas with pine cones since I left home but this year, in my very first new home, I just knew that I needed to find some...and I did.

So all in all a good week of progress!  I do wish that I was a little more up to date with this project but I'll take what I can get. The week ahead is going to be another busy week but with a two week break after that i am looking forward to making it through the next five days.
