I am currently on a journey of sorts. I have been on it for a while now and to be honest, I think I will likely be on if for a while more. Part of what I have been doing is trying to learn to replace my negative self talk with positive words of encouragement. I started off with list of those negative thoughts and then I tried to find a scripture or phrase that contradicted that bad thought. I grouped it all together and created a two page document which I taped to my wardrobe door and decided to read twice a day.
I great idea in theory, but in reality it was just taking to long. It didn't give me enough time to truly take them in, to give them thought each time. So I decided to chop it down to a few big ones...but I was having trouble picking.
Then here I sat, surfing the net, when I came across this positive affirmation created by Amber May Be who said that we were free to print and use. This is perfect and covers exactly what I need in my life at the moment.
It's printed out and taped up in my room, just waiting to be read, believed and put into practise.
This manifesto is gorgeous. It says everything that I would want mine to say. You can see it here.
Lately my lunches have been a little on the boring side, so when I came across this BBQ Chicken Salad recipe, I immediately saved it to my favourites. Oh, and it's on the menu for this week....yum!
This week I have been doing a lot of research into lactose intolerance ( more to come in a later post ) and I found a product called Lactase Drops which means that I should be able to make my own lacto free skimmed milk.
Amy put together a really good post about How to support a friend who is losing weight. It was a great read and I can honestly relate to those suggestions. If you have a friend who is trying to lose weight then make sure you take a read of this post.
I read another great article on the 12 things that happy people do differently. A really great read with some interesting topics to think about.
I hope that you enjoy these as much as I have.
